Installing engine and more.

We are finally getting there after 61/2 months of working on the boat with a few months break. We still have some more projects to be completed. Hopefully by mid July we will be close to getting out of here.😀 Sorry about the pictures being all out of order. As much as I try to have them in order, it just doesn't happen.
Solstice's new look.

Once the anti fouling paint is on she will look even more beautiful.

Engine in and connections are being made.

Our new inverter. Now I will be able to use our microwave.

Our cabinetry is being put back together. That is inside our berth.

Don is having it where he can take the cabinetry out to get to the engine. It's getting to look real nice.

Before cabinets are back. The pictures are all mixed up.
We had the anchor chain galvanized, Don is remarking the it.

Before it was repainted.

Prep work.

More chain markings.

All the hose connections.

Putting the name back on.

Checking to make sure all is right with the job and starting to take all the plastic of from around the boat.

Free of all obstructions more or less.

Marking the water line.

Taking a break.

Back in Thailand

While i was still in the states Don was in Boat Lagoon getting the yacht ready for replacing our old engine for a new engine. It has not been easy getting all the work done on the re powering. With a language barrier and not having the right tools to do the job, Don has had to show alot of patience to get the job done right. While i was gone Don was able to rent us alittle apt in walking distance of the boat. With all the work being done inside there is no room for me to work so i spend alot of time at the apt. Luckily it is air conditioned, because it is extremely hot here in Phuket. These are just a few pictures of the work being done. We hope to be out of here by mid July. The work is very slow going.

Rejoining Don at Boat Lagoon.
Taking old engine out.

Out and sitting in the companionway.

Taking some of the bulk head to make room for getting the engine out.
