Le muria Land in Nosy Be and Lemur Land in Nosy Komba and more.

Beautiful lemurs also called Maki maki. This one has her baby on her back.
They are quite amazing creatures, very soft.
Petting the turtle.  He just loved it. As  I was petting it he stretched  his neck up.
We went to a factory  where they distilled very fragrant flowers called Ylang -ylang.  The women pick the flowers and then bring their picking  to be weighed. Then at the end of the month they get payed.
More maki makis.

Women lined up to deposit their picked and wait to have them weighed.

This is what the pickings look like.
All waiting.
Local girl selling jewelry.  We were on a tour of the Island and of course that was one of the stops. The Madagascar people make very nice wood carvings, beads , beautiful embroidery,  stitching. Each village has their own specialty.
Nice work. Same below.

And they also cultivate  bees.
We went to a place called the sacred tree. We all had to wear the local dress and take our shoe to visit the sacred tree. The picture is of the 4 couples on tour together. We are all on yachts going the same way. We all look pretty ridicules.
This child must have been helping his mom pick the Ylang-ylang.

Women put a yellowish paste on their faces for beauty purposes and also to protect  it from the sun, but more for beauty.
Having fun with the boa constrictor.

Mom maki maki with baby. What beautiful creatures they are.

There are many different  species  of lemurs

Don feeding the maki maki.

Our guide feeding the upside down maki maki. They love bananas and also the banana peel.

Our friend Onni feeding two.

They are very gentle creatures, and there paws are so soft.

We all took turns getting them to come on our shoulders  to give them food with the help of romance our guide.

You can see her baby on her side.

Mariette acting very nonchalont about holding the Boa.

Elizabeth enjoying holding the Boa.
A green male gecko.  They know he's  male because he has two dots  on his body and tail.
I said  good afternoon in french to her but still no smile took her picture and showed her the picture and then I got a sweet giggle.

They also grow pineapples.  I had never seen a pineapples plant before.

Lady and baby taking a nap.

Children unwrapping their candy that Elizabeth was giving out. Happiness.☺

More happiness😊.

Sweet smile😊.

That is a lot of work.

Enjoying a cold beer after our tour in the Lemur Land. What a great tour.

Local store.  Nice building.

A great view of some of the yachts from Chef Yolande's restaurant  also where we were enjoying our cold beer.
A great sunset in Nosy Komba.
Another kind of lemurs with those beautiful tails.
